Out on a Limb, adventures with nature and art
We have brought the outdoors, indoors! Create a nature's symphony in the Forest Jam, climb into our treehouse, send leaves whirling through space in the Whirlwind Tree (then rake them up and do it again!), write an ode to Nature at our storytelling table, then build a home for a gnome. This travelling exhibition was developed by the San Jose Children's Museum and will travel on to the Boston Children's Museum in June.

March Gallery Exhibit – Wondering and Wandering: Paintings by Frank Maginnis
Local artist Frank Maginnis has found that painting in the abstract expressionist method - non-objective painting - allows for the spontaneous, seemingly unconscious, while still maintaining a balance of color and space. His continued work in the conventional mode has allowed him to better undesrstand how painting still life can better train the eye and improve discipline while allowing the opportunity to consider the wonder of the held moment. The paintings are on view from March 6 through March 29

Girl Scout and Youth Program: Trash to Treasure!
Scouts and youths will use their creativity to turn castaways into fun and functional stuff, letting their imagination run wild in this hands-on session!

HCAC Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble - Holyoke
Barnes & Noble - Holyoke will donate a percentage of the net sale to the Center. Book fair certificates must be presented at the time of purchase for the Center to receive credit. These certificates are available at the Center office now and will be available at the store the day of the fundraiser.
