Out on a Limb, adventures with nature and art
We have brought the outdoors, indoors! Create a nature's symphony in the Forest Jam, climb into our treehouse, send leaves whirling through space in the Whirlwind Tree (then rake them up and do it again!), write an ode to Nature at our storytelling table, then build a home for a gnome. This travelling exhibition was developed by the San Jose Children's Museum and will travel on to the Boston Children's Museum in June.
May Gallery Exhibit at Wistariahurst – Annual Exhibition: Holyoke Creative Arts Center
Wistariahurst welcomes back the Holyoke Creative Arts Center. The gallery will feature paintings and sculpture from the students of HCAC. The Holyoke Creative Arts Center is an adult learning center dedicated to the instruction of home arts and crafts.
The center promotes traditional values such as individual creativity, skill development and self-reliance through classroom instruction of many lost arts and crafts of past generations. As an invaluable resource and teaching facility for over 77 years, the Center provides a variety of unique educational programs and services to the entire Pioneer Valley community. On view in the gallery through May.

So, We Think You Can Dance
Come dance at Wistariahurst with the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet faculty and students as they teach an interactive dance workshop for children. Wistariahurst will offer the workshop for children ages 4 to 12, no experience necessary. The first hour children will learn dance through games, musical interpretation, and imagery. The last half-hour MAB students and workshop participants will perform. During the workshop adults may enjoy a guided tour of the museum and then attend the dance performance.
